A message from our Chair of Trustees
I am honoured to take on the role of Chair of Trustees for our Multi Academy Trust. This is both a responsibility and a privilege, and I was inspired to step into the role because I believe passionately in the power of education to transform lives. Every child deserves the chance to flourish, to discover their unique talents, and to feel supported in reaching their highest aspirations.
What excites me most about our Trust is its commitment to educating the whole child. Our schools do far more than provide strong academic outcomes; they nurture confidence, resilience, creativity, and kindness. We want our pupils to leave school with the ambition and skills to succeed, but also with the compassion and values to contribute positively to the world around them.
The Trust Board exists to make sure this vision is lived out in practice. Trustees come from a wide range of backgrounds, bringing diverse skills and experience. Together, we focus on three key responsibilities:
- Ensuring the clarity of vision, ethos, and strategic direction of the Trust
- Holding the Executive Leadership Team to account for the performance of schools, pupils, and staff
- Overseeing the Trust’s financial performance to ensure resources are used effectively for the benefit of every child
We are also proud to work closely with our Local Advisory Boards. These ensure that the voices of parents, carers, staff, and local communities are heard and valued, helping us to keep each school firmly rooted in its community while benefiting from the strength of the wider Trust.
As Chair, I am committed to governance that is both rigorous and compassionate. I want our schools to be ambitious, inclusive, and outward-looking, and for every child and family to feel proud to be part of our Trust.
The Trust Board welcomes engagement and values open communication. If you would like to contact me on any matter related to the Trust, please email trustees@vitatrust.org.uk.
Together, we will continue to unlock potential and enrich lives.
